With a good internet connection and pool view, I was able to work remotely with no issues. There is no dedicated workspace, but I was comfortable sitting on the floor.
After work, my family and I were able to visit the beaches and shopping with relative ease. It's about 10-15 min walk to lagoon and nearest beach or the International Marketplace. In the opposite direction, it's about 15 min walk to Ala Moana mall. The zoo and Waiola Shave Ice are ~2 miles away, but in opposite directions. We're used to walking our dogs 3-5 mi/day, so these distances are easily do-able. There are nearby bus and trolley stops.
There are several rental car shops within a 10 minute walk, so we were able to visit the North Shore and Windward side on the weekends.
Our favorite restaurants were Waiola Shave Ice, Montsarrat Shave Ice, Helena's, Seven Brothers, Waiahole Poi Factory, Aloha Sushi, Maui Brewing, Sato Seafood, Marugame Udon, and Foodland.Response from Alii Beach Rentals

The Cove winter trip

The Bike cage is accessible and secure. The location is great but a little far from the action at Waikiki if you are walking. If you are just looking for a beach, the beach across the street is great or the beach at Magic Island is also very good. The condo was in great shape and had everything that I needed. The Ala Moana Mall is close and the Food Pantry is just around the corner. I was very satisfied with everything and the management at the condo was very responsive.

Laundry unit inside was also a plus. The location is great and a perfect walking distance to Ala Moana and Waikiki. Abou 15 minutes walk to the Ala Moana area and 20 minute walk to the heart of Waikiki. The only downside is that we would have liked to know that there was some pests in the building before booking our stay. When we noticed, we contacted Ali’i and they were quick to respond and remedy the situation. Pest control arrived to safely remove the pests and we didn’t have an issue the rest of the stay.
